Al ran down another side street, moving quickly and quietly. He couldn't see James behind him, but that didn't mean he wasn't there, and Al didn't intend to be found by his older brother. Just because James was old enough to do magic outside of Hogwarts did not make him more responsible. Losing his brother should prove that.

He was so busy looking behind that he almost didn't notice the other boy directly in his way, and tripped over his own feet in an effort not to bowl him over.

Gellert caught sight of something out of the corner of his eye and put out a hand instinctively. He attempted to catch the younger boy before he could fall.

"Careful," he said warningly. "Are you all right?"

Al managed to not fall over like a complete clutz, instead landing on his hands and one knee. He shrugged a bit as he stood up. "I'm good, sorry 'bout that" he said, with a grin. "I'm trying to make a clean getaway, but I'm a bit rusty after being away from school all summer."

"Who are you running away from?" Gellert looked slightly amused.

Al rolled his eyes, "Some idiot by the name of James. We share the same parents, unfortunately."

"Ah, you don't get along with your brother... I don't have any siblings myself," Grindelwald mused then gave Al a cheery grin. "What's your name? Do you live around here?"

"Lucky" he said, "I'm Albus Potter, we live over past Pentonville road," he waved a hand in the vague direction of home, "least when we're not at school. Are you from 'round here as well?"

"Albus? Nice name... No, I'm from far away. I'm just visiting for now," he smiled and introduced himself. "I'm Gellert Grindelwald."

Al laughed, "Really? Well that's just weird." He is of course, used to people being named for historical figures, having two such namesakes himself. "You wouldn't think it'd be likely for us to meet with our names, would you?"

"So you've heard of me? Did you know Albus Dumbledore?" Grindelwald knew Al looked young but then, so did he.

"Dad knew him, but he died before I was born." He tilted his head, curiously, "Does that mean you're the real deal? I mean, not just named after him?"

"Ah... Yes, I really am him, but, shhh, don't tell anyone," Gellert put a finger to his own lips in a gesture of silence before giving Al a wink. "We wouldn't want to cause a panic."

Al grinned, playing along, he was too curious for his own good. "Sure, panic isn't that much fun, anyway, too noisy." He tilted his head, "So where are you actually from? A couple of teachers have mentioned you, but only when talking about Dumbledore."

"I'm from... around. I went to school at Durmstrang. They've talked about me at your school? I assume you're going to Hogwarts?"
