another update
so I guess I should give a recap of what I've been doing since the year started. Lemme see if I can do a real quick run through:
JANUARY:
I started working part time at rite aid in Jersey City. It wasnt that bad at first, but then my asshole boss put me on the fucking register, where I constantly dealt with the stupidest assholes on the planet. I swear, I never realized how dumb people were until I started working the register. Anyways, I got along with my co-workers pretty well. Everyone was so friendly with each other that we were able to put our money together friday nights and order food and just talk for a couple of minutes before we started restocking the store. Plus, my work schedule fit in well with my school schedule: I always had time to study, I always had time to eat, and I always had time to relax. Speaking of School, I started the spring semester at ECC, and took Abnormal Psych, Human sexuality, Art History II, US History II, and cultural anthropology, which made for a very interesting semester for me. Plus, I got to see my personality psych friend trina (who is fabulous), in my ab psych class. And, while going to school and working, I managed to have an active social life: I went out with zuly, shanti, and jackie, I went to Mark's pot roast, and I went clubbing with Autumn and Kiki. Unfortunately, I lost my phone >_<, but that was the only bad thing that happened that month.
FEBRUARY:
No big shit happened, just a different month.
MARCH:
I met an asshole customer at my job who was really ugly, stupid and drunk. He'd keep coming back to that fucking store every damn night. In the end, no one liked him lol.
APRIL:
I finished the spring semester with straight As, and started summer classes (ECC does everything early O_O). I took African and Caribbean lit, and Healthful living (a bulllshit course). There was a really cute guy in my lit class, but me being a punk didn't have the courage to go up to him and try and be friends.
MAY:
I did alot of hanging out. I went with rabeya and her friends to applebees, then me and Rabeya went to chinatown and indulged in the beautiful cheap things that wonderful place had to offer. Then Angelica and I checked out the first Unitarian Universalist church of essex county, which was a pretty interesting place (especially since they have such a wonderful coffee hour), but all of the people there are old and white lol (although i do find the minister for that congregation kinda cute). I might consider joining the church, but strangely enough, I doubt that I'll convert into a unitarian universalist myself. I also celebrated Jessica's birthday with her by going to a latin jazz cafe (the nuyorican poet's cafe), but before we went there we ran into a dominatrix (she really caught us off guard tho cuz she was kinda plain looking, her name was Pam). So, for a good ten minutes, I, Jessica, and Pam stood on the corner of the sidewalk and took turns spanking each other and twisting our titties. It was rather exilirating and fabulous!
JUNE:
I graduated from ECC :) annnddd, I got As in both of my summer classes. I also went back to that church with angelica, where we talked with more people and stole their food. Oh, we also went to go see the Sex and the City movie with Gregory (that movie was soooooo awesome! Although I kinda wasn't surprised that Big would do something like that). I also quit Rite Aid, mainly because I was going on vacation, but also because I couldn't take the hours anymore (I had to work the graveyard shift on both thursdays and fridays, which would throw a wrench into my sleeping schedule). Although I became good friends with my co-workers, I told them that I wouldn't miss them much bc ill be stopping by all the time after im done with classes at NJCU. After I quit, I spent the rest of June being a lazy ass and just lounging around the house ( i did manage to finally beat final fantasy vi). Then, I went to see my dad play ball, I went to the zoo with gelly, I went to the brooklyn museum to see the murakami retrospective for the last time ( i prolly wont see any of his works until much later on in my life :( ), and that was about it.
NOW:
I'm in arizona with my family for the whole month. Since ive been here, ive never been idle (my relatives are always taking me places and showing me interesting things). So far, I enjoy being here; it's laid back, and everyone is making me feel at home. My uncle's wife asked me if i felt homesick or if i missed anybody, but I told her no, and i kinda feel happy that im not missing anyone. Its nothing personal, I just know that I'll see you guys when I get back. well, I hope everyone is alright. I'll post more disorganized updates pretty soon.
