I know it's not exactly what you requested, but I ended up writing something totally different that I was initially planning. I was hoping you'll still enjoy it, as the line you wished for is still in, though the relationship between Dan and Serena is rather being guessed than clearly presented.
Perhaps I'll do better next time, if round two hooks up the two of us again ;)
