B vs. NS | NV vs. DS | B vs. CJ

Ever noticed how cheating* results in the scorned woman forgiving the guy and punishing the girl instead?

*Chuck technically didn’t cheat. But sleeping with Jenny was “the one thing [Blair] couldn’t forgive” and he lied to Blair about it so it was just as grievous.

The Nate/Serena/Dan/Vanessa situation is more tricky especially since it ties in with the Juliet/Serena/Ben story. BNS and BCJ are more similar if you look at the first and third columns.

Vanessa was in Haiti so Nate took her place as the scorned woman in 3.22. But it was Serena whom he didn’t take back while he easily forgave Dan.

Blair told both Serena and Jenny to stay away from her circle. Vanessa didn’t do any banishing but assumed Dan/Serena shared more than a kiss and confronted Serena about this.

Blair humiliated Serena and Jenny and dealt blows to their (academic) career. Vanessa indirectly orchestrated Serena’s expulsion, isolation, kidnapping, and drug overdose by working with Juliet. (She also threw Jenny under the bus to save herself.)

Blair and Vanessa put out several hits on Serena but the strike on Jenny was just once, and she managed to strike back.
