Shopping Day!
I helped one of the pre-school teachers at the church move some stuff in today, then I went shopping afterwards. Got some new clothes at Kohl's for Easter. It's times like this that I regret being a single, straight, guy. I bought a couple shirts, and then had to try and match ties to them. I much prefer the box sets where that is done for me, but there weren't any of those this time. Ah well, I think I did ok. Then I went to Best Buy. I don't get it. When I go at night, or when I really need help, nobody talks to me. Today though, I couldn't go more than 5 feet without somebody asking me if I needed help. I got so flustered and frustrated by it, that I forgot to look for some of the stuff I was there for, like Venture Bros. Season 4, Vol. 2. I did get a new DVD player though. My old one has been acting up more and more lately, so I broke down, and bought a new one for $30. I've had my old one since 1999, so I guess it's had a good run. Afterwards I went over to Disc Replay. I was disappointed by their selection of Wii games. They had some games super cheap, but most of the games were only $3-$5 below retail. Ummm... why would I pay $37 for a used game that costs $40 new? So, I stocked up on some movies and the first season of Ace of Cakes. LOVE THAT SHOW!! I got a couple Troma movies, I have quite a few of their zombie movies, and Cannibal the Musical, so I've decided to start collecting the rest of them. If I find them at decent prices that is. I have no problem paying $30+ for a used Criterion Collection edition of Brazil, but I won't pay the same for Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town. Luckily, I got the latter at Best Buy years ago, so I can avoid the after market prices on it. I also found Paul Naschy's Revenge of the Zombies. Still no Night of the Werewolf though. Sorry Craig. :(
