[yesterday was my dad's birthday, so yesterday's review is today]
For Monday's Halloween flick, I went with Tamara. Tamara is an unattractive, (in movieworld standards) lonely, girl who is not having the best of times in high school. She has a crush on her English teacher, (who seems to be the only person who understands her) her father is a drunk, and most of the popular jocks hate her. Especially after her article about the drug problem among the student population gets published in the school newspaper coincides with the school board's decision to implement drug testing for all student athletes. Oh yeah, she also dabbles in witchcraft.
Tamara crafts a spell to bring her the love of her English teacher. She can't bring herself to complete the spell, however, when it requires her to spill her blood. That night the jocks decide to play a prank on her, and lure her to a hotel where they videotape her undressing under the belief that her teacher is in the other room. The prank goes horribly wrong, and Tamara is killed. Once her blood is spilled the spell is activated. Although it doesn't exactly go as she originally thought. Now Tamara is back as a sultry seductress, and she's bent on revenge.
I really like this movie. It's well done, it has good production values, decent acting, and a good story. I recommend it for anybody out for a good thriller/scary movie.
