Today I was collecting money for lunches on a field trip an students handed over sandwich baggies and coin purses filled with coins. One student handed in a femmidom of loonies and quarters. A FEMMIDOM!!!!! No lie!!!! It was all I could do to keep a straight face. Some days I can't believe the things I see as a teacher!

At first I thought it was just a sandwich baggie, but she had twisted the coins around at the bottom and as I was untwisting it, I suddenly realized what it was. I nearly flung it across the room and had to take a moment to regain my composure. I figured that since she had no notion of what it was, I was going to act like it was just a plastic baggie. I showed one of the other teachers at the end of the day and she jumped away like I had a creepy crawly in my hand. And then we laughed until we cried.

You just can't make shit like this up!
