Thanksgiving 2009.

I actually like not writing every week anymore since I found other important things to fill my time. Let's start off with Thanksgiving down the cape.My dad didn't attend since he wanted to go see the Holliston vs. Westwood game then go to his mother's home in West Roxbury. It was very weird not having him there. That same weirdness applied to Uncle Bobby, Auntie Debbie, and Casey & Greg since they didn't come down since they wanted to be home incase Debbies mom, Barbara needed anything. My little cousin Charlotte kept eating all what Aunt Diane put on the small table that held the before dinner food.I met Kims mom and stepdad for the first time. They are both very nice and were really interesting to talk to. Zeno made another great fried turkey. I actually had to help Zino and Eric with that since we needed to make sure the frier was at the right tempature.I learned that three of my little cousins Ashley, Olivia, and Lauren play instruments.Olivia plays the acoustic vioin, Ashley the flute, and Lauren the clarinet. They did a little performance for us before dinner. It was very nice to see that besides Papa Leo, Thomas, and myself that there are more instrumentalists in the family. Annie and her friend David were there. I talked to them a lot about getting a camera for a camera course I hope to take in early 2010. Thanks to Annie and Dave I got a great idea for a digital/older model. I learned that David now works in his new job with iphones. He designs apps for them to use which sounds fun. Annie also told me she watches Ghost Hunters. I told her those people add stuff that make it out to be not realistic. I told her about this awesome show called Ghost Adventures which features three guys just going into haunted places and recording what they see, hear, etc. My cousin Kerry got her relators-lisence so she can sell houses. She likes it a lot since she can take clients around the times the kids aren't home. I learned to that her husband Zeno grew up poor in New York. I believe it was the Bronx my mom said. Zeno did really well for himself since he makes good money in his job now. I also learned that Zeno likes Top Gear to which is another great BBC show.We got talking about Heroes to which is a show Zeno also likes. Zeno asked Eric, "you watch Heroes? Do you know who Sylar is?" It was very funny to see. Aunt Diane I learned to spent two weeks before working on the nice armenian dishes she put out. Papa Leo and Charlotte were all over the food.

In the last few weeks I have seen many changes in the kids I graduated with lives. Dave Lee is getting this weekend I believe. Sean Fox recently moved to New York for work. Steph Speciner got married a month or two ago. Erin Burns resides in NH. Erin O'Sullivan had a child three years ago. Rachel Williams recently got married. Tobin Greene got married and very recently had a child. Meg Collins now lives in Brookline. Dave Shepard lives in Allston now. Derek Blethen, Kerry Broderick are still in college. Greg Hossallbarth lives in Boston now.Tim Dumas(one of my closest friends) recently moved to Indiana. My sister, mom, and I saw Britni Mahan running when my family was getting gas early Thursday morning. A few weeks ago I have recently seen Brittany Repella and her mom at Massbay. It was cool to see her as well as talking to her for a little bit. Brittany told me she is transferring to Framingham State but she has enjoyed being at Massbay for the last few years. I also saw at guitar a few weeks ago that Andrew Yanco is now home for good. Andrew wasn't able to pay his rent with the two jobs he had so Pam brought him home in early November. Thanksgiving week I met Andrews new girlfriend named Abby who was another of his roommates. Very nice girl who I need to facebook friend sometime before years end.

Fr.Mark said Nee and I should attend Mass this weekend during the time we were working on Friday afternoon.I don't like having a priest telling me when I should go to Mass.I am still having trouble believing in God/The Catholic Church. I don't need someone to tell me when to go to mass since if there really is a god and if you lead a good life then heaven will be yours before you leave this earth. There are many, many contradictions in the church including the Bible that certain things don't add up to me like they once did. Now I am slowly seeing why Brendan doesn't believe in any God. When your mind becomes really open like mine has after these last few years of college things are more gray then what you originally thought them to be. The church has a lot of blood on its hands and they are still suffering even now from the effects of the sex scandal that erupted earlier this decade. I still though happily carry around the holy cross what Matt gave me nearly six years ago. It feels like it is just a symbol now since it has lost some of its religious resonance. It still holds meaning for me but not in the believer sort of way. In happier church news I also saw Fr. Raymond and Fr.David for the first time in like over a year! Very nice to talk to them both briefly. Next to my cousin Fr.Paul and Fr.Brian/Fr.Haley those two are my next favorite priests.

Brendan cameover a few weeks ago. We actually spent more time out of my room and talking the whole time. Briefly we played Simpsons, Red-faction, and Unreal Tournament. Brendan told me he wants a keyboard so he could play around with it. He also told me that one of his roommates showed him a few chords on his guitar but Brendan quickly forgot them. I also told Brendan since we were on the subject that I am sorta interested in buying a pennywhistle which is this small flute. We went out of my room into my family room because Brendan wanted to see if my laptop or a burned cd with a movie on it might work on my parents dvd player. It was interesting since I learned more about my laptop just from him telling me that. Another interesting thing Brendan told me is that he makes one "irresponsible" purchase per year. This year he bought himself a new bike which he rode 26 miles from Amherst back and forth. Brendan told me he is hoping to graduate in Fall 2010 but he'll next go onto graduate school since he doesn't want to work at a job right away. Brendan still works at his job there and goes to a meeting at least once a week which is pretty cool! Fun tie with him as always!

Guitar over these last few weeks has offered some very exciting stuff. Pam has had me working on Minuet in G with both pages of notes. I can tell which note it is now without looking back on the note chart she made me a few years ago. Pam even said I'm beginning to notice things more as well with the chords/notes. I also have tried some new string movements during the blues where I literally lift a string up off the guitar base. Recent songs I have learned and perfected are Nowhere Man, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas,Take Me Home Country Road, Every Breathe You Take(Chords only)and Joy To The World. Pretty good things going on in my life. Take care of yourself.
