I haven't posted for quite a long time. I guess it's time I posted.

Right now I'm in Kuwait, testing out some microwave communications equipment. I've been here since Nov 4th, and our equipment finally cleared customs on Thanksgiving. Now we're starting our real test. I'm hoping I can actually get out of here on the date my flight is scheduled for now - 28 Nov. I'm going to be stopping off and visiting my parents in Dubai, and then flying to Pittsburgh on 5 Dec.

Kuwait is an interesting place in a lot of ways. Since I've been here, I don't think I've seen a single car merge into traffic in an actual *proper* manner. I have seen people drive onto the hard shoulder or onto the sidewalk to pass people or do U-turns, among many, many other interesting things.

Given that I haven't written anything in many months, I have no idea if anybody is still paying attention. If you have any questions or want me to describe anything here in Kuwait, let me know.

Oh, yeah - I was visiting a friend last night. He's building a new house, and it's fairly large. He's got a power sub-station in the house to give him 1.5 MW of power - residential, no industrial use. Kirk and I tried to convince him to build a 6 meter Tesla coil in his entryway, but I don't think he went for it.
