Biography:
If Nana had to write her own biography, she's sure she'd end up with not much than a few words. She has an ordinary Japanese family, a working father, a stay-at-home mom, caring grandparents, huge list of relatives, and no siblings.
Her grades were average, her hobbies were common and she was never the type who stood out from the crowd. And never did she want to, always blending in, always hiding. Ever since she was a kid, her favorite way of passing time was reading books. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy the company of others, she just enjoyed being on her own. If she had to write about that, she'd use the words "listening". "Silence has many things to tell me, and I like giving it an ear."
The quirkiest thing about her was how she seemed to be in deep thought at times, stopping to walk at random places at random times. A worried look would cross her face, but when others asked what was wrong, she'd just shake her head and say it's nothing, going on as before. She never talks about it.
It was during high-school when she found the passion she always thought she lacked: nature! She would read books about how the earth formed, flowers, trees and wilderness- anything related to a world that did not welcome cars, factories and, generally humans. Her biology teacher noticed Nana's interest and decided to point her in the right direction, and offered to help her further her studies and even lent her some books.
Socially awkward Nana became even more awkward with her new found interest in studies and closed off herself in a world of books, flowers and a world where not many was welcomed. Whenever she had time, she went to a park, a forest, or a garden. She picked up photography as a hobby after a while, wanting to make an album of all the pretty sights she came across to, sunsets, sunrises, a flower, a hostile cat, a bug... First she started with her cellphone, then wanted to buy a DSLR camera, which she started working in a flower shop to save up money for. She bought a Nikon, after working there for almost a year.
In her last year at highschool, her class teacher had a parent-teacher meeting with all the students, to discuss their plans for the future. Nana's original plan was to go for job searching. Her mother was alright with her decision but her teacher put up a fight, saying that with Nana's interest in research and biology, she should further her studies. After long discussions, Nana agreed to try and go for Yonsei University, even starting to learn Korean.
Personality:
Nana enjoys being alone, but not in a 'sad' way. She sees it more as "enjoying her own company", taking leisure walks, reading books and anything else. She's laid-back and easy going. Although she may seem shy at first, she's very friendly and kind once she's approached. She doesn't mind if strangers think badly at her, and would thank if complimented- however outside opinions do not matter to her.
She is all about being natural. Doesn't wear much makeup, wears only natural colors and style, follows a healthy (mostly) vegetarian diet including sea foods but avoiding any kind of other animal product. She has good manner and is kind and respectful to anyone she meets.
She enjoys making friends, but she might not be the best option to call if you're only looking for someone to party with. But if you're looking for a cup of tea, and someone to listen to you, or just sit in silence with, (or, discuss a book, a theory, or science in general) she's the one!
Trivial things:
She can sew, crochet and enjoy making hand-made crafts. Her accessories are often those she made herself.
She knows gardening and have tried raising her own vegetables in the past.
She's not interested in relationships, she never had a boyfriend and no one ever confessed to her.
She has a plush deer toy she named Kapi.
She's allergic to bees.
When she tries to lie, her face immediately goes red. She changes the subject when the situation is where she can't confess the truth.
She mediates often and believes her spirit animal is a deer.
She believes she can sense spirits and ghosts, especially when she's somewhere quiet.
She can play the flute. She used to be in the music club of her highschool.
