Iggy Pop Days

I may have mentioned this before, but I feel it's important to remind you all about Iggy Pop Days. This is a tradition some friends and I started in Peth, many years ago. It works like this:

Summer is hot, especially in Perth.
In order to combat heat, wearing minimal clothes is recommended. It is also a good idea to drink something cold. So what to do?
Declare an Iggy Pop Day. A day on which one may wear ONLY a pair of jeans (or shorts if you're brave enough). No shirt. No shoes. Combined with this, one should consume lots of cold beer. Now, if one is in charge of small people, one may have to leave the beer until later in the day. That is responsible, but the wearing of shirts and shoes is banned.
Now, when one declares an Iggy Pop Day, one needs to make it clear to all in the house that it is, indeed, an Iggy Pop Day. One must ensure that all housemates obey the rules. Yes, ALL housemates. Additionally, one must inform all guests who plan on staying for more than 20 minutes that it is Iggy Pop Day. They too must obey the rules, or leave.

Give it a shot this summer!
