Those low-carb diets never agreed with me. Found myself craving carbs more and more as the days wore on. Especially since I'm so used to eating rice with my meals.

Just eat whole grain breads instead of processed stuff. The fiber is good for you!

You're working out too, so don't go crazy about it. It's about burning the calories you take in.

I was thinking more in line of trying to eat less pasta/bread/starch. I tend to eat a lot of those things, and not enough fish and veggies. Especially the veggies.

Have you tried increasing the frequency and reducing the portions you eat, in order to supercharge the metabolism? My work schedule's more or less forced that upon me and I eat about 5 times a day in 400 calorie increments...also helps to drink about as much water as you can force yourself to, keeps the blood thin and aides in digestion. I drink about a gallon and a quarter a day now.
