ok, so im not sure if you ever gonna read this, or even if anyone ever gonna read this, but I still give it a try ;)
i also sent you this on myspace and i just signed up at lj, so im not really aware of how to use it yet but whatever^^
oh and first of all i'd like to say that I'm glad you're doing better gabe, and that I'm so happy you can start touring again!
so i heard of your believers never die tour thing going on in the us. youre gonna play with FOB. that's great.
but what i really don't get is, why can't you support FOB on their Europe-tour as well?
see, i really dont wanna complain or moan or something, i really love you guys and your music, but I'm sure a lot of other fans from europe (pls note: everytime i say europe i dont mean the UK, but countries like austria and the rest of europe) are feeling the same way, so I speak on behalf of all european fans who are pissed that they'll never get to see their fav american bands. i dont get why all these UK fans are angry cuz u guys gotta cancel your shows when you're doing them on other dates anyway. at least they GET to see you.
but you gotta see our point of few as well:
i'm from Austria (right in the middle of Europe) and FOB's gonna do a big European tour where they're also coming to play in Vienna, and I'm stoked as hell cuz i like FOB.
BUT there's this one thing i really, really, really don't understand: There are TONS of amazing american bands i listen to, who i probably never get to see live cuz they are not really big in europe. i understand that they dont tour in europe when they're not that big here. but when bands like Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Metro Station, who ARE known a little in the rest of europe, are friends with bands like FOB and going on tour with them then i absolutely dont get why they're just going on tour with them in the US!
i mean, why dont u support them on their europe-tour where u could make a lot of new fans and people in europe who already are fans would finally get a chance to see an american band they've been dying to see??!?!!!
instead FOB will bring some totally unknown band, we'll never hear of and care of again.
so can you please, please, PLEASE tell me why you guys never tour europe (except for UK) when there's an actual chance to??
I'm sick of always getting disappointed by the tourdates of bands i've been dying to see live just cuz im stuck in this country =/
and gabe, i'm not sure if it's true but i once read in the alternative press that you're half austrian so, dont you wanna visit Austria then?? im sure you'd like it here^^
anyhoo, I'd really just like you to know that a lot of european fans would do anything to see you play live once in their lives (including me obviously^^) and that it'd be awesome if you could try to tour a lil bit more over here :)
i still love you guys and always will no matter what, even if i'm stuck in front of my computer watching crappy live videos on youtube, someone took at your shows, for ever ;)
