Oxford, UK

time for post I suppose. Sometimes, Oxford is lonely as fuck. It is sort of shocking entering/creating a new social network, especially one where anything but small talk is inhibited by the problem of multi-linguality. You can't always wax intellectual with Swedes, Italians, French, Columbians, Cantonese, etc, where English is a second language.

Oxford is small, and the nightlife, I have found, is limited. Everyone loves to go clubbing....I sort of hate clubbing. I prefer small-to-large group get-togethers in the home, bar, etc. And the music they play? Unashamedly called 'cheese', this means the very worst of House, R&B, "techno" etc. And don't forget Power-Dance. Think of La Bouche (as in Wanna Be My Lover) reinvented and reproduced for the worst.

A more positive post comes to follow on a more sober evening, alright.....?

(sorry that on the rare occasion I post to this journal I happen to be drunk, angry, or unsatisfied)
