At last, what was lost is recovered. A thousand pardons for my lengthy silence: it's a delicate system that we depend upon for our communication. I hope that nothing crucial had happened by writing.

Indeed, and so simple and humble in appearance, when in fact it is all but miraculous.

Miracles seem to be the Tree's specialty, though it is not always in our favor.

And so the marvelous becomes the everyday.

A pity. Perhaps the mundane things will become the wondrous.

Some, I daresay, would prefer a peaceful existence to one riddled with wonders.

Not surprising. Few enjoy being treated like toys for invisible children.

That may be the most troubling aspect of it, indeed; yet not, perhaps, the most wondrous.

No. There's nothing wondrous or magical about rulers using their subjects for amusement. A disappointment, truly. Ruling by fear and threats is quite pitiful.

On a lighter note, I've always found braids to handle troublesome hair well.

In my humble estimation, what we have here in Edensphere is not precisely rulership.

Alas, that method, too, has been tried to no avail.
