end of February

The end of the month is almost here.  New sales will be starting at the drugstores, so I need to prepare for that and make my shopping lists.  They always sell out of the good stuff at the beginning of the month. Plus the new sales that start the beginning of the week.  It's a lot to look through.  I've changed the way I do my coupons so that it's not so much a hassle for me anymore.  I see what's on sale, look up which coupons are needed on the database, then look in my box at the complete inserts (separated by date), and pull out the ones I'll need.  That way I don't have to cut any coupons unless I'm using them, and I don't have to file them in my big binder.

Spring Break is coming up in March, and I want to plan an activity for each day that week.  It'll be like a mini vacation each day.  I'll look at the map and see how far I can drive in, say, an hour, and see which areas we can visit.  I know I want to hike a trail at Brazos State Park one day and have a picnic there.  It'll just be me and Walker, so it needs to be pretty safe and nothing unexpected.  We could go to Galveston and walk on the beach, maybe go to the Rainforest Cafe.  He'd enjoy that, but we've done it before.  There's the Forbidden Gardens Chinese Cultural Museum in Katy that looks interesting.  There's just so much to do in the Houston area.

I've done a rough draft of our taxes, and we're getting a refund.  Yay!  I was worried with selling the house and relocating and stuff that we might owe some money this year.  I still need some information to make everything accurate, but at least I don't have to worry about it in the meantime.

A LOT of my high school friends have been discovering Facebook this past few months.  I never saw any of them online and couldn't find them if I tried looking, but now all of a sudden, they're all online.  I wonder if they're all going through a mid-life crisis, and they're trying to recapture their youth!
