while Shay was at karate camp today, my sister and I de-girlified his room. I found several feminine, flowered shirts and my sister ripped down the poster of "Zoe 101: Summer Crush" on his wall. We let him keep his pair of bell-bottomed sweatpants. The most likely culprit of Shay's girly side is my dad; when Kevin was Shay's age my dad took him shoe-shopping and came home with a pair of high-heeled daisy sneakers.
me: Shay, you're being awfully quiet. Is something wrong? Shay: I'm going away. me: oh no! Where are you going? Shay: to the library.
Morgan put my life in perspective for me last night. "I wish I could stay in the basement all day and watch movies and play with kitties and puppies."
