dad: Kevin took Claire to church on sunday.
me: oh.
dad: the theme of the service was "earth day" and when everyone went back out into the parking lot there were five hybrid cars parked there. And an electric bike.
me: okay.
dad: do you see where I'm going with this?
me: no.
dad: well, I've decided I would be willing to buy you an electric bike.
me: what?
dad: you're going to need to be getting around this summer, and I've decided that an electric bike is the best thing. Shay is getting his hair cut right now. Do you want to talk to him?
me: okay.
Shay: my hair is really short now.
me: wow, Shay, that's--
Shay: do you want to talk to daddy now?
dad: Catherine has an announcement.
me: is one of the horses pregnant?
Catherine: (in background) Courtney's pregnant?
me: what?
Catherine: are you pregnant?
me: no!
Catherine: well, I'm a vegetarian.

Catherine: I don't know, I've just become a lot more into animals.
me: do you still hunt?
Catherine: yeah.
