This tutorial actually comes from
vimpse, but I did a bit more photos on mine so you could understand it a bit more. I got a little confused until I re-read one part and then it all became very clear to me, so hopefully it will to you too. I only did it on a maxis hood; I haven't tried it on a custom hood, but hopefully the result will be the same! If you have any questions, either ask
vimpse or
me (ask her first though! XD)
Test Hood: Belladonna Cove
Step #1: Place a beach lot
Step 2: Enter the lot
Step 3: The lot has been activated
Step 4: Now delete it, then type in the cheat box (ctrl + shift + c) modifyneighborhoodterrain on and hit enter. The cheat is now activated. This cheat has 4 commands, but the one we want to use for this will be the 'flatten terrain' command, which I'll get to how you use it in a moment.
Step 5: "X" marks the spot of where the lot was - that and the distortion in the sand there if you can tell. The reason for this is because this is the area we need to modify to get our lot flat
Step 6: So within the edge of where your lot was, click and drag not only the area of where your lot was, but also about an inch across the road as well, and once you've selected the area needed, hit the "\" key (of course depending on if you've got an American keyboard or something else, it may vary as to where that key is, and take a look:
Step 7: Looks flat doesn't it? Ready to replace the lot? Go ahead!
Step 8: Tada! \o/ The lot is flat! Enjoy your new flat beach lot
There are extra steps to shrink the lot size using the LotAdjuster, but I mostly just cared about getting the lot flat, so check out vimpse's tutorial for those steps. Hope this was helpful! Ta ta!
