There is a story where Brian gets trapped under the catwalk falling on him. The rescue squad needs Justin to keep talking to him while they try to remove it.
Its sad tender and sweet and had me crying buckets because of the ending.
Can't remember the title or author but the story itself stays with me.

This one sounds like Validiction by q_dicted, but it is a major character death fic. Very, very angsty and my favorite fanfic of all time.

Again, this is MCD.

i can't read the story that begins with a V. I hear it's amazing but i can't read a story where one of them dies. I was reading Timeless which is amazing but i found out that after all of that they don't end up together and i couldn't finish cause it was getting to be too much and then they were going to end up together. nope. i wish someone could find that catwalk story though.

Even though this is years later, I felt I should clarify something. You mentioned you heard that B/J don't end up together in Timeless, but they do. It might take a while, and I feel bad for people that gave up on this amazing story for the reason that they think B/J don't end up together. Brian leaves and goes to a place to heal and recuperate, but he does come back, and they are together at the end.

And the only 'catwalk' story I've read, is Valediction. And that IS a MCD. So, if it's the one you're looking for, but not MCD, then I'm not sure.

My favorite MCD was Counting Blue Cars. It was absolutely beautiful and actually has a hopeful ending. *sigh*

It's one of the best and actually helped inspire my own MCD, Life Elevated. I liked the hopeful, supernatural aspect of it. Just in case you want to read that one...

No that isn't the story I was talking about. In that one it's cancer. The one I mean its the catwalk.

If you are meaning Validiction, that's not about cancer. Brian dies in the bombing of Babylon and the paramedics need Justin to keep talking to him while they try to dislodge him from the wreckage. It's amazing and oh, so painful.
