You know how there's a vampire story about "Byrant," that sounds a lot like Brian Kinney, and could certainly be played by Gale Harold (and no one else) and there's a minor character that sounds a little like Justin only he spends most of the story being a damsel-in-distress (which I really don't think Justin is) and only at the very very end turns ( Read more... )

I can't help with the second request but the first one is Indifference by the amazing Brian Hennessey. Btw, it's Bryant not Byron.:) I can't give you the link because my computer is older than dirt and I can no longer access it but maybe someone else can help. It's a great read!

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I'm not looking for "Indifference" (I'd forgotten the title, thanks). I was just trying to use those two stories as examples of what I'd like to read. I'm looking for other stories that are similar to "Indifference" and to that detective story in that the main characters aren't Brian and Justin.

It was "A Reason To Believe" and it was about a tall cop who meets a short (but dark haired) guy who was a psychic and who helps him solve a murder, and totally felt like Gale and Randy were meant to play the characters.

Do you remember the author or which fandom? The names of the characters?

The cop is named Matt (I think), the short psychic with a great ass is named Kiernan, and the author is Diana Copland. It wasn't in a fandom (the only fandom I read is QAF), it was an "ebook."

That book was written by a good friend, diana_copland, aka oldenuf2nb. She still writes in the HP fandom, where I know her from. I wrote a review for the book, which is awesome. It's here if you want to check it out.
