[This is Kyubey. He is currently wandering the halls of the mansion. Sizing the place up, as you will. And he's everywhere He might even appear in your room unannounced! That's just how he rolls.]

Minato opened up the door to his room and saw the... what is that sitting on his bed? But something that cute can't be harmful or evil, could it? Hm. Nah.

Thus Minato took off his headphones and went over to sit on the bed next to... it? Him? Her? Oh, well, the cute thing that suddenly appeared.]

[Kyubey silently watches Minato come in, his ears swiveling around as if he were listening to many thing at once.]

Excuse me, sir?

[His voice rings out, but his mouth doesn't move.]

[It talked. Somehow. That was... convenient, in a way. If it could communicate that way, then Minato figured he might not need to ask how it ended up in his room.]

[He bows his head and closes his eyes, deep in thought.]

I am not sure how I can be helped.

[Minato nodded, wondering what it meant to actually see it then. It looked rather pensive though, and he hesitated before speaking since he didn't want to break its concentration.]

Is there something you needed instead?

I do not believe there is a way I could leave this place of my own volition.

[Minato also shook his head at that.]

No one can. Not yet, anyway.

It's not absolutely imperative that I leave right away, but this is certainly inconvenient.

[He shakes his head vigorously, and his ear longies flop about.]

Well, it is nice to meet you, Minato Arisato. My name is Kyubey.

[The creature reaches out with one of the appendages, as if to shake hands.]

[And it knew his name. Minato smiled a little at that. Wonderland and its inhabitants never ceased to surprise him.]

It's nice to meet you too. [Minato also held out his hand as well.]

I haven't given up on finding a way out yet. It's just taking some time.

[He cocks his head.]

I don't see how that would work. Maybe it could be done?

[But he has learned that humans are nothing if not tenacious. As long as there is even the faintest glimmer of hope, they will continue to fight.]

One guess is that the Mansion needs our memories to live.

[Well, if emotions can be turned into energy, he guesses memories could too. Human memories especially.]

That's a strange thing to feed off of.
