Poem x2

Jul 15, 2007 14:23

Poems I wrote sometime long ago. I don't write much poetry, but once in a while I act out of character and just start writing page after page with poems. These two are some of the few I'm really happy with. The first one's kinda sorta the origin of my username. At least I think it is.

It's an intersection out there
And I think I missed the turn
So I keep on driving
Going ninety on a free way
Hoping I'll soon catch up
But the road keeps getting blurred
Teary vision, there's a sharp turn
I can't think trough
Tires screeching
And in the back of my car, you snort in discontent

This one's a collectors call
Because I don't have money left to spend
on one-sided phone calls
I think this line is going dead
Much as I picture you now
Sinking into, the apathy that frightens me
I chew my nails while you embrace lethargy
All wrecking havoc trough my blood stream
