(no subject)
It's the last day of the year again so it's time for my round-up and dedications. Oh wow. 2009 really has been a rollercoaster ride hasn't it? It's so unbelievable how fast the year flew by just like that. It's mind-boggling. really but well let's just get down to the roundup.
January, call me crazy but I honestly cannot remember what happened in that month. I know, as a class, we had to adjust to new teachers, aka Miss Sharifah who had a whiny and nasal voice but i guess we got used to is after a while. Oh right and I remember Sally, Hannah and I sitting together in a row, with Thahira just an aisle away. It was crazy fun. That lasted for about a month or so I think. Oh and yes of course, we all got split up for Amath classes and Thahira, Sally and I sat together. ALL THROUGH THE ENTIRE YEAR BABY. haha. Amath became fun with them. Let's see what happened in February. Oh Valentine's Day fell on a saturday so we were all bummed but oh well. And right how could I forget being a buddy for the Secondary One Orientation. That happened in January but it lasted through to the end of February I think. It was quite nice having done it for 3 years although it is so very draining. It's rewarding. And if not for that Orientation I wouldn't have known some people as well as I do now. Ahem Siti Ahem. Haha.
March was filled with assignments. Even though there was a week break, it didn't seem like a holiday much because there were so many things to complete. And I think it was in March that we managed to complete To Kill A Mockingbird and finally move on to Shakespeare. Then April came and Interact sessions officially ended for Sec 4s. I never thought I would cry but it was quite emotional. Well the music was and that I started thinking about how much fun I'd had over the years. Then Intensive Revision for Midyears started. I hate to admit it but intensive revision did actually help. Oh wait I think Speech Day was in April too. I had fun hosting it. Call me weird but talking a lot of people is actually quite enjoyable to me. Haha. May. I can't remember what happened then but I know we had our exams and we got back results. June was a month break from school. It was quite relaxing but then there was homework, not like i did most of them. (: haha.
But July to October was just filled with Intensive Revision. Late August to September we had Prelims. Which was okay. I did better than I expected but still not very well. OH I almost forgot this. I had my most memorable birthday in September this year! Haha. I'm still able to tell the story in such detail. But I dont think I'll retell the story again. I posted it a few months ago you can go back and read it for yourself. Okay. Then in October. It was the official last day of school for us. 9th October 2009. I cried my eyes out on Graduation Day. It was almost like it was the end of the best class I was ever in. I brought 2 boxes of tissue and like we shared 1 and a half boxes. Mrs Loe cried with us which was so touching. Because it was there and then that we saw how much we meant to her. And her last few words to us on grad day still stuck even though she was crying as she said it. Then we had 2 weeks of study leave to prepare ourselves for O's!! hahha. Almost everyday I went back to school to study. Most of the time it was with Arra. We studied harddd. Haha. Our little food breaks and playing to destress ourselves. Studied with Sally on some days too. Then O's came and went so fast. I remember telling my cousin how long it was taking just before i sat for Math paper 2. Then she told me that it'll fly by and I'll regret saying that. I hate facing the uncertainty of O levels because you have absolutely no clue if what you answered was right and you have NO idea whether you did good or bad.
November came and left. So did December. The holidays have been rather uneventful but it was more family oriented. I haven't been going out much but it's okay. I think the most fun-filled thing i did was host the childcare graduation. It was so rewarding watching little children dance with absolutely no care in the world. And the concert was also with the most laid back script I've ever had. And I made a fool of myself on stage but it was all for the kids. And then there was Prom!!! Ah. EVERYONE looked gorgeous on prom night. Literally. EVERYONE. All pretty. All made up. All just so amazing. And The programme was fun too! I'll never forget Mrs Tan's face when Natasha went up on stage as a contestant for Miss TK. It was just typical her. Like :O I wont forget the dancing too. So many people on stage dancing, almost like clubbing. Funnnnn. I was wondering if the stage was gonna give way cos it was so small and made of wood. It almost seemed like a platform instead of stage.
But the year was awesome. Well. It'll never beat 2007 but it was good. We all had our fair share of ups and downs but we made it to the last day of 2009 didn't we?? This year I've gained and lost friends, gained new perspectives, become so much more outgoing, a lot stronger emotionally and much happier than I was before. It's been a year of change but change's the only constant right?
One last thing, 3e2/4e2 forever <3 Best class.

Bee Leng - It's been an eventful year for you huh? It's been so good reconnecting with you. It feels nice being close to you after a few years of being quite distant! It's odd for us to be so "loving" with each other hug-ish and stuff. But yknw you're one of my closest most special friends right? I mean we've known each other since K2! And that must say something. I can tell you so much of what we went thru in primary school cos those memories are so dear to me. I'm always here for you and I hope you know that. <33 very much.
Siti - Hey hon. (: I've kinda written everything I wanna tell you in my grad day letter. I'm sure you still have it right? I'm so glad we came to really know know each other this year. We're quite alike actually. Anyway; We went from working together for Orientation to letters to now. Like got pattern lol. Anyway, thank you for listening to me and my problems and my gushes and all the random spouts of nonsense. Late night messages of which end with me saying dumb things when I'm half asleep! I know this year hasn't been easy for you but it's coming to an end. Next year's gonna be pivotal! Work hard!!!! I'm always here for you okay?
