I hope y'all are good at following instructions, because here is what you are gonna do:
next sunday, at 17:00, and alternating sundays thereafter, you will go here: http://www.radio.warwick.ac.uk/ and you will listen.
Why? Well because I am presenting a show, following the lead of others who have gone before and made me think 'I could do that too'. So, invite yr friends round, light up a fat joint and lie back. Seriously, I doubt you will have anything better to do at that time on a sunday...and if you do I don't care, cancel it. The fact that I am having to alternate weeks is because I have a fairly prestigious slot, so y'know I figured I out to make some effort to tell people. That is 'tell you what to do', not 'inform' you. Fuckers.
Just so you know, here are some bands that are likely to feature (I decided that stuff in a 'loosely psychedelic' vein would be a be more likely to get a show than the somewhat oversubscribed metal/hardcore etc. genres, but that doesn't mean I will exclude them): dead meadow (duh), bardo pond, love, pink floyd before everything went horribly wrong, acid mothers temple, isis, six organs of admittance, oneida, yo la tengo, high rise, skip spence, morgen, speaking canaries, eleventh dream day, boris, masters of reality, qotsa and so on...wow huge surprise there...one thing worth noting is I may have to play the occasional song from their playlist, apparently so they keep getting free stuff. To me that sounds like 'sellout', so if you can guess which ones aren't my choice (assuming the disparaging comments don't give it away) I might give you some sort of prize.
Another thing: the new these arms are snakes album 'easter' is fuckin awesome.
