Distant Worlds II Released!

The hard copy CD doesn't come out until June, but you can purchase it via download at the FF Distant Worlds store. "Prima Vista Orchestra" and "Melodies of Life" are included (although I think the vocal rendition is a little ... parochial? Why have they overdone To Zanarkand :(

(And I agree with you about the vocal rendition - it seems kind of strident for what is essentially a very wistful song.)

Because FFX is popular and Uematsu only composed so many tracks for that game?

I really wish they'd mix it up a little, like do a medley of the airship themes or something.

I am judging them, because the original was gorgeous and fit the scene it was from, and now it is just. HERE BEFORE I GO TO SPOILER, LET'S HAVE A TRIUMPHANT ORCHESTRA?

i want a minigame medley. I may be the only person who does.

I am kind of horrible because I think 'To Zanarkand' is boring and well it's something to DO with it, I guess. But then I'm always of the opinion that you can add more brass.

Or anything from the really early games. I am replaying I&II and being particularly impressed with II's OST.
