I'll Do This InsteadhartlaidsnaresFebruary 12 2010, 05:51:02 UTC
It all happened in an instant. Delita knew not how the man could move like he did.
"Long live the king," Sydney whispered, his lips dragging ever so softly over Delita's ear. He dragged a clawed finger over Delita's chest, tracing over an old knife wound-the one that would never heal.
The palace guard was quick to place their swords at Sydney's neck, but the man paid them no heed. He simply stared at Delita, a knowing smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
He motioned at the guards to stand down. Delita fought the quiver in his voice. "Granted! Your ... group ... may pass through my lands."
Sydney bowed deeply, mockingly. "You have my humble thanks, your majesty."
"Get thee from my sight, or I swear I'll have your head decorating the gate on the morrow," Delita added.

Sydney simply smiled at that, and was gone.
