my friends and i are going to be famous...we just finished a photoshoot.
okay not that famous. it was the study abroad people shooting us with our central st. martin's silkscreened/heat transferred goods for a brochure, and then they're making a video too...they wanted someone to interview at spitalfield's market, and we all decided for elana that she should do it.
yesterday we went to canterbury cathedral, and then sunbathed on the white cliffs of dover...it was lovely.
in 10 minutes i'm leaving to go to kensington palace, then later i'm going to the fashion and textiles museum, and then we're all going to a pub for quiz night with our textiles teacher. she's very strange, but very cool. tomorrow we head to Bath.
lastnight danielle got her wallet stolen...that makes 2 of my friends who have been pickpocketed.
i'm currently obsessed with black currant flavored things. i've got jam, tea, juice, and throat lozenges! i just can't get enough.
i had the best greek food of my life yesterday in canterbury, we accidentally spent $36 on hummus. the exchange rate is not good.
lindsay bought some speakers for £5 that we hooked up to our ipods, so we finally have music! it's been strange not to have any for weeks and weeks. everytime we would go into a store with something decent playing, we wouldn't want to leave.
i found an AMAZING glasses store around neal street, but haven't had a chance to go in yet. i'm sure frames will be ridiculously expensive, but if i find that perfect pair, i'm going for it. i <3 frames.
we took the restrictors off of our giant back window, (they were keeping the window from opening up farther than 6 inches, for security reasons, but there's a cute courtyard outside, and we need fresh air!)and kat climbed out. an ACORN guy found her (ACORN is the property managing company for our flats), and escorted her back. "Well that's a bit silly innit?", he kept saying. they put the restrictors back on. (of course we took them back off again.) Then ACORN called mr. mac (one of our teachers) and told him that somebody FELL out of the window. within an our of the incident, the whole program had heard that somebody fell out of the window (and it's a good 6 or 7 foot drop). lindsay and i were accomplices, so we're all ACORN rebels now. and i decided that ACORN stands for A Collection of Rare Nuts.
i finally got my camera to work, so i'm trying to make up for the pictures i didn't take the first half of the trip. so hopefully i'll have some to post here. i know you're all on the edge of your seats waiting to see ;)
i wish i was better at explaining my time here...everything's just so great, and so much happens everyday, i could just go on for ever and ever!
