(no subject)
i haven't updated in a while. i've had a lot on my mind!
the usual school and work have kept me busy, as well as preparing for my trip to europe! i leave in....17 days. wow.
but also, ryan has decided to move to Brooklyn. he'll be leaving the same time i depart the country. i think it's a great move for him, i'm excited for him and the opportunities he'll have there. he might already have a friend to live with, and he's gotten job offers from Other Music and Tonic...which would just be temporary, but fantastic for getting himself set up. i must admit, i was pretty anxious about the whole thing at first...i know how long distance relationships are, they usually don't end up working. but, (and i know i'm probably the seven millionth person to say this) i think our relationship is really special, i think we'll be okay. as ryan says, "it's just time and distance." as long as we both make an effort to communicate, we'll be fine. i only have one more semester here, and then i'm hoping to do an internship in NYC. we're planning on visiting each other, infact i might head up there right after returning from london!
speaking of london....i am going to freak OUT at Topshop!!!! a lot of money will be spent on clothes.
i can't wait to have free weekends to travel. i wish i could go to germany for the end of the world cup...games are being played in my old home of Kaiserslautern. i want to see riots! ryan and i watched Sweden v. Trinidad and Tabago this morning...it was great! i'm not a sports person, but soccer is pretty exciting to watch.
lastnight was the V89 Summer Soulstice, which was quite fun. i told Nico i was going to his homeland (France) and he told me we needed to talk. perhaps he can give me some tips! i also saw Lindsay there (who will be my roommate abroad) and she told me that she's leaving early. going to NYC, then Rome, then might be renting a car and driving to Milan. in which case she could pick me up from the airport. there's a Dolce & Gabanna show at 1pm that we can get tickets too, but only if we're there early enough. fingers crossed!
i will be coming home for two days...either the 22nd and 23rd, or the 23rd and 24th. gotta see the family, party at phil's, and pick up a suitcase. then the 27th, i'm off!!!
