EXAMS NNNNNG
Exams start next Friday, pure shitefest. Can't be bothered updating properly so here's a bunch of stuff.
-I'm obsessing about Lost In Translation just now, partly cos I have to study it and partly cos of the mood it struck me in. I'm proper obsessed with the song from the end of it as well!
- I have apparently given up on looking attractive, ever, for this exam period. Cue no make-up, greasy hair tied back, same jeans for five days in a row (God I shouldn't admit that) etc etc. Normal service will be resumed after exam time (if I can be arsed).
- Had to go to the fucking doctors this week because I kept getting horrific chest pains and had trouble breathing. I went along and predictably the doctor said I had been "burning the candle at both ends". I find that surprising since I've managed to watch the entire Seasons four and Seven of Seinfeld in the past weekend! He referred me to a nurse who gave me a cool steroid inhaler. Is it wrong that my inital reaction was "Oh shit, I'm guna gain tons of weight"? Probably! But cos it's in inhaler form I won't apparently. It's only for two weeks anyway.
- Thinking quite seriously about handing in my notice to the Ark. It's stopped being fun, and even though there are some very cool people who I will miss a lot, I stuck around in a job I hated before for that reason and it's inevitably really depressing. Need to actually find the balls to do it though. I dunno, I've cut down over exam time so it might get a bit better. We'll see.
-Monica leaves for Monaco, for good, next Friday I haven't actually stopped to think about the fact that one of my best friends is leaving the country and won't just be there at the end of the phone, but I'm sure I'm due an enormous weepathon any day now. We're going to wave her off at the airport so I reckon it'll be sobfest 2000 there. Also, it's the day before my first exam that she leaves, fuck sake. Trying to refresh my memory on everything I can about North Britons and Patriotism in the eighteenth century, but darnit it's just not as awesome as I remember it being! Anyway we're planning loads of sleepovers, packing nights etc before she goes, but it might just make it harder.
