The semester is almost over, and I honestly don't remember ever feeling so productive before. Coupled with school, I have my job at Best Buy, scheduled study times, and much of my time spent at the gym. The rock wall there is amazing and makes rock climbing a relatively inexpensive hobby. Plus, the exercise is quite refreshing, after many, many years without daily physical activity.
My grades are quite meh, but I did retain a good amount of information, so I'm confident about the upcoming semester. I have my schedule planned almost perfect to coincide with work, I plan on saving money for some upcoming trips. Austin suggested New York for spring break and that sounds appetizing.
I recently saw This is me Smiling, This Providence, Murder by Death, and the Hush Sound. This Providence recruited a pretty hot bassist though, and the four of them looked like four scene guys gone wrong. Murder by Death put on the best show however. I've sort of become accustomed to going to these shows alone now, as it seems impossible to find anyone around here who actually wants to attend. I've made a bunch of friends at the venue, though, so it's not bad. =X.
Tom Waits massive new 3 CD release is very overwhelming, but addictive. 56 songs, of which I believe 30 are new. Sufjan's christmas album is amazing, as usual. I may see Peaches too, although I'm not sure if I'll be around for the show.
I'm throwing a party at my place Saturday the 9th. This party will not be a movie night type event, the main focus will be on new friends and drinking games. I need to perform a massive clean-up, and prepare for some amazing times. I really hope it goes well, as in, the exact opposite of a typical movie night. I think it will be fine, however. If anyone was not invited and interested in attending, you of course are invited, and contact me if you want to bring a friend (so I have a good estimated head count).
Fuck, Christmas is soon.
