Serapio was born in Needless, CA and grew up in East Los Angeles with an older sister Socorro & younger brother Felipe. He was a third generation railroad worker; his grandfather built the train system and his father operated the trains. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad from 17 y/o until retirement. He loved toy trains, playing saxophone, carpentry, birds, multifunction utility tools & gadgets, Marilyn Monroe and the News hour-every hour on the hour.
He is survived by his wife Lupe Garcia of 54 years and four children; three daughters, a son; Martha Rubio, Maria Carmen Ozuna, Concepcion DeFrancis & Daniel Garcia. In addition, ten grandchildren & six great-grandchildren. He will be missed & forever in our hearts.
