state of the comm
greetings everyone! i think i've decided to make these Sate of the Community announcements a monthly thing, that way you know what's going on around here.
here are April's updates:
1. the community rules have been updated. specifically, rule three has been edited to include requirements for a header that needs to be placed at the top of all entries containing fanwork. the requirements are pretty bare bones, and they aren't anything you all weren't doing already, so you're good to go. (but do look it over if you're so inclined. the wording may Need Work.)
2. some of you may have noticed last month's change in moderators. if not, there has been one and the profile page is current with the people to contact in case of questions, comments, thoughts, ideas or (i hope not!) complaints.
3. no, i don't know why the header is suddenly off center. we'll have to look at our HTML code.
4. the round up for the Feb-Mar Journeys Challenge has been completed. Congrats to our participants! enjoy your shiny icon! :D
5. we currently have the Rashomon Challenge going on. this challenge will run until May 31. antepathy is in charge of this one, so any questions about it should be directed to her.
6. if you need character tags, don't be afraid to ask for them! we add them as we go, but don't always catch that a character isn't tagged in your entry when we read over it.
7. last, but certainly not least! is there anything you, the members, want to see out of this community? this community was set up to fill a hole in fandom character appreciation, but that doesn't mean that Gestalt Love is only for this moderator-owner's whims and purposes. we are a community, after all.

ETA: tweaking the tags a bit for better organization. most of them have gotten reworded, but they're still the same tags as before. nothing has been removed/deleted.
