Notes: Probably helps if you know the canon? The team is the crew of a science vessel, the Calabi Yau. They found a weird energon signal coming from Cybertron itself, which had been deemed uninhabitable. They check it out. It turns out that Bludgeon has gone a little rogue and decided to revive Thunderwing himself. Thunderwing had been driven insane by his own experiment, in dermal grafting (what becomes later the gestalt science in IDW), and was a large part of the reason Cybertron's uninhabitable. Bad things happen.
