(Got an okay for this from
eerian_sadow , so... here goes. :D)
Dark Ages of Cybertron is a MUSH (Multi User Shared Hallucination, a text-based, multi-player roleplaying game based on cooperative and interactive storytelling) based in the Transformers universe. Our setting is Cybertron, several thousand years before the characters from the TV show leave for earth, and incorporates mostly G1 and comics canon (with some elements incorporated from other continuities, and some things just re-written because continuity doesn't make sense or contradicts itself.) For more information about the game in general, see our wiki
here and main open Feature (canon) Character list
here.
Why is this post on Gestalt_Love? Mainly because today, I'm hoping to find some folks who would be interested in playing some of the gestalt characters that predate earth- specifically, the Combaticons (sans Vortex- we already have him and he's AWESOME CREEPY) and Constructicons. (The Terrorcons are also a possibility- we have a Sinnertwin, but the rest of the gestalt is unplayed and I don't know much about 'em.)
In game, gestalt technology has been lost for many thousands of years, and is only just being rediscovered. The Autobots are on the verge of having a fully functional gestalt team (the Protectobots, who have yet to actually merge and form Defensor for the first time) and the Cons are playing catchup, planning to leapfrog ahead by imposing a gestalt bond and modifications onto adult mechs rather than raising their own gestalt team from the ground up. The creation of Bruticus (or Devastator, but I think it'll be easier to get the players for Bruticus) is an upcoming epic plotline that should be AWESOME - but we need players for it!
We have players in a wide variety of timezones (US, UK, and a few players in the middle east) and are happy to schedule plot events to accommodate different time zones and weird schedules.
Interested? Come check us out! You'll need a MUSH client like
MUSHclient (or use the Flash-based client
here- there's a list of Mac and Linux clients on the wiki), then log into darkages.isunlimited.net 7775 - comment here or email me (trainsdogs at gmail.com) and I'll be happy to answer any further questions!
