Tattoo's

 1. Have you ever cried during a tattoo? I can't remember if I cried during the wolves or not... but I know I cried for a few minutes after.

2. When did you get your first tattoo? 1993 with a safety pin and india ink.

3. What was your first tattoo? The greyscale pheonix on my back.

4. Which tattoo is closest to your heart? Physically, the wolf-mates, though the 3 tats on my back are all of equal importance to me because of the things and people they represent

5. Do you have a matching tattoo with someone? No, not really.  Though 2 other people have complimentary ones to my pheonix, and T has one that compliments my owl.

6. Do you have a tattoo that someone messed up on?  The outline of the pheonix is a bit wavy in places, and the one on my hip that was done in highschool looks horrid...but that was to be expected given how it was done.

7. Do you have anyone's name tattooed on you? Nope.  I thought about it as part of the pheonix, but decided not to the day I had it done.

8. What one was the most painful? The wolves.  My endorphins crashed hard after the first 4 or 5 hours.

9. How many tattoos do you have?  4 total.

10. Do you plan on being heavily or moderately tattooed? I think, for me, I'm already "moderately tatooed...I'd say a good 3/5 of my back is inked right now, with plans to get the whole thing covered eventually, so I think, depending on definition, if I dont already, I'll probably wind up in the moderate category.  i tend to think of heavily tattooed people being the ones whose tat's you can see even when they're dressed.

11. Do you have a tattoo that you constantly have to explain? Not really.  They aren't highly visible unless you've seen me topless or I've shown them to someone, and by the time we get to that point, most people know the story of the tat's basic meanings anyway.

12. Have you ever gotten an infection from a tattoo? Nope, though the first one stayed rather red for several days after the fact, and the owl bruised for almost a week because of its location.

13. Which one took the longest? The wolf-mates by at least 2 or 3 hours.

14. What is the biggest tattoo that you have and how long did it take? They are all about the same size, though detail wise the wolves were the biggest, and they took a total of about 6 hours.

15. Did you tell your parents? I'm pretty sure both of my parents know about them, though I dont think my dad has actually seen them.

16. Do you regret having gotten any of your tattoos? I regret the one on my hip.  Not the meaning of the images, but the fact that when it was done, I was sharing a needle with several other people, and it was rather risky to say the least.  It will be covered later this year, most likely in February at BTW.

17. Would you consider ever getting any of your tattoos removed? no, but I am covering my first one

18. What are you going to get for your next tattoo? I know the next two are going to be ravens, one on either hip...I still have 1 more major tat to go on my back piece, but I'm still struggling with the image.  After that piece goes on, there will be a tree and background put onto the back piece.  My goal is to eventually have the entirety of my back covered in a large collage that runs from my shoulders to my hips, possibly with half sleeves added eventually...but that will probably take another 5 or 10 years before all of that work is done.

19. Do you think members of the opposite / same sex with a lot of tattoos are hot? It depends on the tattoo, and the wearer.  I'm not a big fan of body art for the sake of body art.

20. Are you unfortunate enough to have an arm band tattoo? nope.

21. How many people have tattooed you?  2.  I had the pheonix done in a little shop in Wisconsin, and Gordon Staub from Time Bomb Tattoo in Frederick (and Sacred Mark Sanctuary) did the other 2, and will most likely be doing most of the work on the rest of them as well.

22. Do any of your tattoos have color? The wolves are all color, the pheonix's eye is colored in, as are the eyes on the owl...Whatever winds up below the wolves will be in full color, and the raven that will be on my right hip will most likely have some color to him as well, where as the one on my left will be in black and white/greyscale..
