I'm all of a dither about this upcoming match. I've been reading interviews with coaches from the England side and they are damned confident. Which I don't like to see. Granted, people have been being over harsh in criticism of the US (they did win the group and emerge undefeated, after all); still, the US knows it's been playing off. That both concerns and thrills me.
To come out of the "Group of Death" with a win. when they weren't playing their best, is impresssive. But why aren't they playing their best? Where is that American skill? To win they need their skills out en force. They have the pluck and the courage and the heart. But bring the skill too, girls.
Anyway, it's still the same English side they tied and have beaten. They have been doing well in the Cup but for the most part, had an easier schedule. They did tie Germany, but we tied NK, beat Sweden (spending a harrowing first twenty minutes under pressure and coming up big), and then beat Nigeria in a typhoon.
So, I'm believing in my team. Hopefully they take the mental fortitude they've been showing (regardless of goals output) and use it to rip England convincingly to shreds.
OOOSA OOOOSA OOOOSA AH!
