I've looked over the location we have discussed, and have a few comments.
I was not able to determine exactly where the object of interest is located. I hope that you have more precise information about that. The entire site is perilously unstable and chaotic. It's very likely that we will not be able to rely on the group that is providing diversion for our venture to also provide ground support; once they touch down and enter combat, they seem incapable of knowing friend from enemy; several times I saw them turn on each other after their mutual foes had been defeated, with the blankly furious look of a berserker. In the air, they are hostile to anyone not of their kind. Fortunately the defenses of the site are as chaotic and patchwork as the rest of the place; I found several possible points of infiltration, low enough that the dubious allies will not bother to intercept.
There is regular mass transport to and from the site, and the landing area is very sparsely guarded. It was easy to slip onto a transport and then over the side after it was well away. I made sure to remember the route to get to the transport--although given how frequently things there seem to break down and be poorly repaired, it's possible that may change by the time we make our attempt.
While in the Alliance camp, I caught wind of a rumour that our allies are planning a major assault on the location at the end of the week, probably on Friday. If the other party involved is agreeable, I suggest that we plan to put the operation in motion then.
