She's gone. Even if things didn't work according to plan, she said she would hole up somewhere for a while and work on alternatives, that she wasn't coming back - that if she does come back, it'll mean either everything is going to be all right happily ever after (it's amazing how much she taught me about sarcasm), or that I should prepare myself to flee or die, because there'll probably be a plague showing up soon after.
She left me a small bag of gold and gems, a large bathtub, and a white kitten. She said that if she ever sees me again, she'll pretend she doesn't know me, so she won't risk inadvertently get me into trouble. And I have no idea what she's going to look like... she did say she'll be sending letters back occasionally. She asked me to look after Avielynn, gave me some papers with instructions on what needs to be done for her.
It's gotten to the point where the only person I saw on a regular basis was her. And the people at work, of course, but I don't really know any of them personally. I've heard rumours of the Hand of Argus getting together again... my parents were both in the Hand, my sister wanted to join when she ((scribble)) I could try to track them down, and ask... if they want a disgraced hunter who can't fight because she's pregnant with some unknown human's baby. I'm sure that's exactly what they need. I don't know why I don't just give up because "giving up" means dying, and I can't do that.
