Oh dear, just when I thought my insomnia might ease off a bit, I find myself dipping in and out of the streaming coverage of the DNC courtesy of NBC News/msnbc. Edward Kennedy's probable swan song speech has been the highlight so far. Must resist the urge to stay up past 1 a.m, but I have to say that there's something soothing and easy on the eye

I left the radio on overnight but slept through most of Hillary's speech, bar a few rousing phrases.

The DNC platform is just a bit too understated to be the set of Strictly Come Dancing, and there's something embracing and unifying about it - very subtle.
