(no subject)
So prom, prom was awesome. Sorry that there is still no picture post. I'm getting to it, but am not quite done getting all the pictures together. Anyways, a quick recap of it:
GOOD STUFF:
Had a date, as friends, and we (attempted to) rocked the house.
Jen's before party thing, friends, and pictures taken all at once and gotten out of the way
Afterwards bowling (pictures to come)
Seeing everyone all dressed up
Having an insanely awesome tux jacket
BAD STUFF:
Charles' excursions on the dance floor (him in specific, it was too prominent, man, good job, but too prominent)
Other people on the dance floor (although to be fair, I probably would if I could, or something, although perhaps not)
Being late getting home
Offhand comments that get taken to heart
That last one was a temporary set back only, some of you have already heard. I may write a full entry on it later, using, as always, obscuring pronouns to give anonymity as well as universal application to the story at hand. Besides, why stop doing what I've already begun in here, by being so obscuring with them? Yes yes, this is all truth.
Someday, you know. Someday I will figure out why we all are the way we are, why we don't think before we speak, and too why we premeditate so many words we don't mean. It seems ridiculous, at best, and completely inane and insensitive at worst.
But, what can we say?
A lot, if we'd only learn to keep silent when we know little,
And speak when we cannot find words.
(as a side note, the previous statement is my antithesis and my goal, in some respects)
