Yesterday was our one-year anniversary. We spent the occasion camping and it was definitely an enriching experience. We biked four miles and hiked four miles of moderately rugged trails. We also took a cave tour and saw two bats (cute) and cave salamanders (eww).
I took a lot from this weekend - a sense of accomplishment...not only from all the sweat that was put into the outdoor recreation, but also from the fact that I've been married a year and have never been this happy in my entire life. I don't know who says that the first year of marriage is the hardest, but I think they got it wrong.
Because of our weekend, Scott and I have decided to take on a 3 day 24 mile hiking trip later on in the year. We are training for this goal and I can't wait to attack it.
