No cohesion whatsoever

I saw RENT last night. My advice to the characters: get a fucking job.

Apparently there wasn't anyone living on the lower east side in the late 80s who wasn't either gay or dying of AIDS or both (or a closet case with a video camera).

Also, am I supposed to hate Taye Diggs? Cause I kind of agree with him about like everything he says. I mean one of the central characters gets his ass kicked by some homeless/thugs in the opening scene, and we're supposed to support the bohemians' trying to save the grittiness of the neighborhood? Screw you. They find Mimi on the street at the end, totally strung out and nearly dead, the camera dude quits his job with a legit TV show thus removing his ability to heat his apartment or make a living, everyone STILL has AIDS, Mimi is still a junkie, and this is the happy climax of the story? You're killing me.

All that said, I liked the music.

I may be living in a place in LA that's 3 blocks from the beach and only 3 miles from the office. Oh, and it's 73 degrees in LA right now.

I'm going to miss NY. I'm going to be away for my birthday, and Stephanie's birthday, and the rest of the kids' basketball season at St. Patricks, and St. Patrick's Day (Beck's birthday)...

Thank god David "REFRESH" Garfield is coming to LA too. He's been checking Craigslist or decent apartment options for us every 5 minutes. My buddy Jeremy may be coming. My friend Lil may be spending 12 weeks there on a nursing program... It's shaping up to be a decent time. Hopefully LA doesn't catch fire again. Or fall into the ocean.

I still feel bad about leaving he job I'm on now but everyone seems to have already adjusted. They're promoting from within to fill my spot.

I'm working on a second treatment for a shortish feature I want to make about a guy in a terrible town (ever hear of "Love Canal, NY"?) who decides to cheer up his town by becoming a clown, but first must earn money as a stripper (thank you JTP). Working with Paul a little bit on the movie.

I guess that's all. Have some creative stuff I wanted to post. Just haven't had a chance to type it out yet.
