/155-219/146

Told'ja I'd been taking pictures. Here's the collection from the past ten days ... enjoy!

/155. Friday - Okay, technically not a photograph. It's a screenshot from my new phone. The most addictive thing about this handy gadget is a little game simply called "Bubbles." You line up colored bubbles and "pop" them until they are all gone, or until you run out of matching colors. I have been averaging about 340 points per game, so it was incredibly thrilling to line up one move worth a whopping 1122 points! It's my personal best.

/154. Saturday - My hair has been getting pretty blonde from the sun, and is also growing at a good pace. Self portrait here.

/153. Sunday - Spent several hours locked away in the control room at church. Here's a shot of some glowing lights on the board.

/152. Monday - Over the weekend, I'd finished John Grisham's King of Torts and found it fascinating. There are so many arcs in the development of the main character, but when all is said and done, the book is a morality tale. I wanted to find some way to chart his personal morality (good works vs. bad works) as it related to his wealth and to time. But truly, there were so many other factors at play that I pretty much butchered my chart.

/151. Tuesday - I didn't get the focus quite right on this. It's a shot of an ant carrying away a fingernail that I'd just clipped. Crazy ant! You can't eat fingernails!

/150. Wednesday - Got this hat from the men's section of Walmart right before our anniversary trip to Catalina, and it's ended up being one of my smartest purchases all summer. Great shade ... good breeze ... protects from sunburn ... looks kinda cool.

/149. Thursday - Figwit has staked out a new favorite spot by the window. He can watch birds and lizards and cats, oh my!

/148. Friday - This lace dealie-bobber was hand knotted by an old lady on Big Bear Mountain ... or so goes the story. I use it as a bookmark.

/147. Saturday - We grabbed our friend Tali and drove up to Los Angeles to see Griffith Observatory in the daytime. (All of those pictures are here.) It was awesome, looking at live images of the sun through hydrogen spectrograms (?) and seeing everything else there was to see. In this picture, you can see the glee on the crowd's faces as they watch a Tesla coil demonstration.

/146. Sunday - In the control room at church, we can see the video feeds from other venues on campus. These two boys popped up on one of the feeds, and I thought they were simply too adorable to ignore! They are like an American Ron Weasley and Harry Potter (sans glasses). Loved watching them lean together to whisper about ... whatever they were whispering about.
