First thought: My hair is starting to get some real length to it, and today is the first day that I've been really happy about where it's headed. Thank you, God! Second thought: These are some flowers I picked off the hill behind our apartment. Within seconds of being plucked, the petals clamped shut ... but now, after a few days inside and in water, they seem to be relaxing and opening up again. There, there, flowers. Nice flowers. Nobody's going to hurt you.
