one screw blew it
i am pretty tired. i spent all afternoon with furniture in the making and all the screws, bolts etc that come with it.
i finished quite some stuff though one screw prevented me from also calling the bed finished. it refused to act like it was supposed to. guess i will have to widen that hole and use some other screw.
i expect to finish the furniture assembly tomorrow.
things start to fall into place and i love how it is looking.
here's a teaser, a mobile phone shot of how it looked on wednesday night with only a small nightstand assembled for testing purposes:
not sure about sharing further pictures. i guess i might make a friends only entry once it is all done.
next up on the list of purchases is smaller stuff; mainly lights and blinds.
i will however have to wait up to six weeks for my couch (that's what you get for wanting something special ;), and could not yet buy my small table and cd shelves (will have to wait till the next pay cheque).
it seems reasonable now to assume that while i might well move in on the next weekend, i will have the room just as i want it some time late december.
last night i was at a surprise welcome-back-party for
moorooduc. he is about to catch up with things that happened here during his 8 month's stay down under.
can't wait for the first occassion to see him do visuals again either, whenever that might be. my part in the welcome ceremony was to entertain him with some o' that most recent dubstep.
god, got to love the digital mystikz remix for fat freddy's drop.
i still need to prepare my presentation on "the warriors", due next thursday. it's not the best of times for stuff like that, i owe quite some people communication answers too. a move sure keeps you busy. especially when most things don't come along.
