on the move

wow. i just lost a really long entry to ljs database issues. the "back" button did not help.
why even let my load the "write an entry" page if the database is down.... this sucks :(

i will try to recreate the core and post this only when http://status.livejournal.org/ signals green light again.

I am waiting for an overdue call. Long overdue. I was to be informed about the location of our pre-party dinner.
Ralf, who runs the notorious MFOC Sundays at the infamous Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg is in town, will dj tonight.
It will be the first party at the new location of Club Atomino that i am attending. I myself will dj there for the first time tomorrow.
Think i have mentioned it before, Slik and me are ... i guess the high-brow term would be 'curating' ... all the Sundays there.
We will see how this most steady contribution of ours to this towns' alternative culture so far will develop.

I do not remember when exactly i met Slik for the first time.
But i know i have been calling him a buddy first, later friend, ever since the first time I deejayed with him.
I was actually replacing Andreas, 5 years ago. We have been dj mates ever since, and will be flat mates very soon.

I am leaving the safe haven that is home among not only my family, but also one of my aunts'.
I am not sure how much partying will go on for my part tonight. I had to get up at 7am (which equaled less than 5 hours of sleep)
to supervise the mixing of the green tone as well as the following painting of my new room.
Soon I will bring in the first pieces of furniture. Only very few items from my current room will be among them.
More on the furniture maybe later, let's just say it will stretch my budget of course.
Probably at the expense of another journey beyond this countries'  border this year.
I do very much fancy the thought to spend New Year's Eve in the post-season, all-quiet, Baltic Sea shore city of Zinnowitz however.

Hmm. This journal would deserve more catching up.
Let's just say the evening with Karsten Pflum and suprise guest Rumpistol was really nice and i am delighted that my dj selection (and skills? ;) impressed them enough to promise to get me to Denmark once it is warm again.
The night before, the night that daylight savings time was going to end, I spent in Leipzig. I travelled by bus, train, tram. On my own, but I knew I would meet friends there. It was the record release party for two new Alpahcut records. Both of them feature the Society Suckers amongst others, so they were on the line up as well as Istari Lasterfahrer, LXC and others.
I think I spent 7 hours at the party, and another 6 getting to and fro. I fell on my bed at 8:30 am new time (9:30 old) tired, but thinking it was well worth it.

post scriptum: i am back, i am tired, and lj finally is up again, so i can post this.

my life as such
