Summary: 961 words detailing Dean's reaction to Destiel fanfiction on the Supernatural forums.

"What the hell is Destiel?" Dean asks in an angry voice. He's looking over Sam's shoulder at some Supernatural forums on his laptop.

"It's uh... Dean slash Castiel, as a couple," Sam says awkwardly, the words sounding distasteful as they leave his mouth.

"What? Was Sam slash Dean not taboo enough?" Dean asks, stomping his foot and looking down at Sam judgingly. "How did you even find this? Wait, how do people even know who Cas is?" Dean asks ludicrously.

"Chuck told me because he thought it was spiraling into a catastrophe. He was telling Becky one day and she begged him for the chapters with... with the gayest Destiel moments. She started writing fanfiction and shared the chapters on the forums and everyone's doing it now... Even got Supernatural some more fans." He sighs, scrolling down the page at more of the fanfiction story summaries.

He happens to stumble on some fanart... very NSFW fanart. "Oh, God!" Sam shouts disgustingly, heading for the top of the page.

"Okay, seriously?! How does anyone get the impression that Cas and I have gay moments? What the hell?!" Dean shouts. His expression gets even more incredulous after seeing Sam grimace.

"Well..." he begins, knowing very well he's crossing into bad territory.

"What?" Dean asks quickly. "Sam... Sam, come on, you don't think-"

"Sometimes. That personal space issue you says he has around you. The profound bond. The look you two made at each other after you told him to get out of your ass," Sam asks, a smile playing on his lips which flares Dean's anger and confusion further.

"That's just awkwardness. I can't help what he does!" Dean defends immediately.

"But you find it endearing," Sam tells him, as if he's reading him. Dean grows silent after that, giving Sam a hard look before rolling his eyes.

"Do not," Dean says childishly, turning away from Sam and heading for the motel door. Sam doesn't tell him anything as he goes outside, but he does have a good laugh.

"Cas!" Dean yells at the sky from the parking lot. "Cas, get your feathery ass over here!" Dean hears the familiar ruffle of feathers behind him and he turns around. He didn't know that the feathers were immediately behind him and he's right up in Cas's personal space.

"Dean," Cas says as a way of greeting him, and Dean can feel his breath on him.

"Cas." Dean sighs and feels completely idiotic after hearing how he sounds. He plays it safe and takes a step back, only one, and they're still very close to each other, but neither does anything about it.

"Do you... uh," Dean begins without knowing how to finish his question. He rubs his neck like he does when he nervous, but why is he nervous? "Cas, I was just wondering if you ever thought... about me in... uh..." The whole situation just makes Dean uncomfortable and shy, especially with the look Cas gives him like he's the most important thing in the world.

"Dean, do you have a problem?" Cas asks. He's concerned and he puts a hand on Dean's upper arm and squeezes. Suddenly, Dean finds the courage.

"Do you like me?" Dean asks, cutting to the chase despite how dumb and teenagerish it sounds.

"Of course I like you," Cas replies instantly, looking at Dean confused. He's wondering why Dean would even ask, considering their profound bond and all that they've gone through. "There's no reason why I wouldn't like you, Dean."

"No," Dean says, thinking he probably should've been more clear due to Cas's lack of people skills. "I mean... What I mean is... Well, how do you feel about this?" Dean asks, stepping right up against Cas, gripping both his upper arms, and connecting their lips. After a second, Dean decides he likes this so he kisses him deeper, it seems like Cas catches on after several seconds and he kisses back. Dean sighs after feeling an opposing force on his mouth, then he lets go of him and pulls away.

Cas licks his lips and his teeth, wondering why his human heart had the audacity to start beating faster when Dean was kissing him. "I like that." The angel says still. "That's what couples do," Cas states, showing he's learned basic things in his time watching Earth. "Can we do that more?"

Dean chuckles softly and he's sure his face has turned red, but he's not embarrassed because he sees the same look on Cas. "All you want," Dean promises, giving Cas another girly peck on the lips. "Just not in front of Sam... or in public. Ya know, PDA and all that crap," Dean clears right away, knowing fine and well Castiel hasn't a clue what PDA is.

"Is that all you needed?" Cas asks, his face returning to the normal stern and straight look.

"Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine for the rest of the night... Goodbye," Dean says awkwardly, then Cas leans back in to kiss him nice and slow. Dean is really fascinated in how quickly Cas learns to be a good kisser. He's still not very on top of it when it comes to goodbyes because when the kiss is over, he vanishes in front of Dean's eyes without another word. Dean walks towards the motel room door with smile which he remembers to wipe off his face before he goes inside.

Sam can still see that little sparkle in his older brother's eyes though. "Cas your boyfriend now?" he asks teasingly.

"Shut up," Dean snaps. "I hate fanfiction," Dean snarls, which only makes Sam smile wider; partly because he knows this is something that could make Dean very happy and partly because he can tease him about it endlessly now.
