What is it about traveling type sales people that they think they can just walk in to your business and start tying to sell you stuff?
In the past seven, yes, I have been with this company longer than another, I have had everything from oranges to cleaning supplies to the bastard who just left from the yellow pages who would take no for an answer and tries to force me to buy their stuff. This guy from the Haines Yellow Pages, who I did advertise with last year, would not listen to my 'NO' the first or following 14 times. It was the leave now or you will be leaving by force, that finally got him out my door. Effing tool.
I just don't get it. I don't see why these people seem to think my small store front is different from say Best Buy. A company I used to work for where we seldom had people come in to try to sell more than window washing services. These people would never go into a store like that and try to push their stuff on you. When I worked for the two different petroleum distribution/convenience store companies (Texaco/QT), we would get a few. More at the former. Again, smaller store front, not as busy.
I think it might be because you are a captive audience they think it is OK.
However, I don't understand how they can't seem to read the 'NO SOLICITING' sign.
Frigging Jag-offs.
