Busy...No...Lazy...No Busy and Lazy
The Boy gets his Tiger badge tonight at Cubs. No hospital visit planned afterward...
I got roped in to being a Den Leader for the next "season".
We survived our blizzard last week and the melt off this week.
Went sledding at the reservoir. The wind blowing off the ice was bitter.
Went sledding this last weekend while we were in the 'Burgh. Not as cold and very snowy.
Went to a Sat. breakfast at the Lodge. Haven't actually made it back to a meeting.
The Boy's bday was last Sat. He is lamenting the fact he is seven.
This Sat. we are have a joint bowling party with a fellow Cubs and classmate whose bday is the next Sat.
The Boy wants to take piano lessons. Actually he wants a piano. Talked to the music teacher and found out he does have some good raw talent. His aunt in the 'Burgh has a piano and plays. She is going to teach him some basics next time we are there. Found out from her, that there is a lot of musical talent on that side of the family.
Close to the start of the school year, The Boy tested out way high and the school asks for permission for further testing.
Those kids that tested high, have special groups tapered for their skills and were offered the opportunity to take Chinese next year.
The Boy is in all of them and wants to take Chinese.
The results of the further testing were even higher than the previous tests. I am very proud.
I think that is pretty much where I am up to date wise.
I miss the things I am missing being here as opposed to KC, but all is well here. Except, the house is a bit smaller than we thought and might be moving...again...I hate moving.
